CS:S Randomly Crashing....

I think it has to do with Pinion. I'm working on a fix. If I can't and it keeps up I will remove them.

1. Delete cstrike from ur drive


(c:/program files(86x)/steam/steamapps/%accountname%/counter-strike source)
or a different location on ur computer.

2. Set launch options - be sure there is no space before the -autoconfig


-autoconfig +cl_cloud_settings 0

3. Open registry (regedit on run/start/search) and browse to this:


HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Source\cstrike

delete the settings folder (the one with over 20 entries), then verify game cache files on steam and start the game.

This should make sure everything is clean and empty, remove the -autoconfig parameter after you've launched it once and keep the cloud settings off to prevent steam from restoring ur cstrike which you don't want anymore.
