Second Monitor
Hello Helloooo :3
So I would like to set up a second monitor for my setup just so I can organize better and have tabs open while I am in-game. It seems very easy to set up as well. I have heard 2 different ways of doing it, one is to just hook up the second monitor and 2 is pressing windows button + P and you can choose your projections and stoof. Lemme know any other way of doing this or is those 2 are even right :3.
I was thinking of getting this monitor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824236200
or this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824236315
I need something small (under 21 in.) and an ASUS brand and most importantly, under 120 dollars.
Leave any suggestions below

Re: Second Monitor
I would try getting the highest resolution possible for a 21 inch. Also, while you're in game, unless you're running windowed, you have to alt tab to use the other monitor. But, running in windowed makes the game feel differently and run differently and making it to where you can't change brightness either. Just a few little tips

I use a 21.5 inch as my main and I play on the highest resolution. I don't care about brightness much. How different? Will I lag or would something not work properly or?DutchKitty wrote:I would try getting the highest resolution possible for a 21 inch. Re: Second Monitor
That $95 Monitor only has VGA/Dsub, You would atleast want DVI or Display Port. Newer iterations of HDMI are good as well.

Re: Second Monitor
I'm just saying you'd have to put your games into windowed to be able to use the other monitor with ease. You can still do it in full screen, you just have to alt-tab and it takes a little longer in full screen games, still not a big deal i just use my second monitor to put stuff such as TS3, Skype, Spotify, anything for easy access.Dick_McSlick wrote:Looks nice, will consider.MAFIA wrote: i would buy this

Re: Second Monitor
In this case, I would say and try to get the same identical monitor as your main monitor.
I have a 30" monitor here, with a 23" next to it, the resolution are a bit differently so you would end up hitting the border near the edge before you could go to the second monitor.
That, and some monitor has a different DPI ratio, so, even if it has the same resolution as your main monitor, your mouse or application might be a bit smaller or bigger.

Re: Second Monitor
There is no border in every single source game. Everything past the resolution height is optional, but I just copy pasted my launch options and I am too lazy to get rid of it. Just put the beginning of it in the launch options of any source game and you can play in no border windowed.DutchKitty wrote:there isnt no border on css -.-
