Gaming PC build advice

Post by Consuela »

I recently got a job so I am planning on building my gaming PC soon. My budget is between 600-750 $ and here is what I came up with so far.

Any advice or constructive criticism would be nice. Thanks

I recommend getting a 660+ for your card. 650 is what I have, but I get some fps spikes in some graphically demanding games. Other than that pretty decent. Also, you should have post here.

-Learned that Micro ATX fits in ATX Cases-

I'd agree with the graphics. My Sapphire ATI HD 7850 1GB works well for most games. There is a 2gb available. My GPU runs really quiet and cool, and the 7850 2gb runs a lot faster when compared to the 650 Ti 2gb. If you're going with nVidia, follow Hipster Trip's recommendation.

And your ram can be a bit cheaper. Here's one for 50 after a MIR. The latency is a bit higher, but in reality, you're not going to notice it.

Not to spark a piracy debate or anything (derp.derp)
Operating System
Microsoft Windows 8 (OEM) (64-bit) $97.99

But, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Actually. 700s just have been released and I am going to upgrade to a 760 2GB for 249$. I would save for that.

Yeah, them gtx 700s are pretty good. 760 is probably the best "bang for the buck" right now.

sorry guys i kinda checked this late. thanks for the advice, but i think that i will be making good use of physx that comes included in all nvdia cards. for the windows 8, lol yea i know but i bought a laptop with it and i have been getting used to it and frankly i like it. i know that for many people (might not be your case) they are just complaining because of the missing windows button. it's not that bad and more and more computers are coming integrated with windows 8. anyways enough of the rant. about the graphics card i know the 760 looks awesome but ive seen some 660s at 100$ less and so i believe i will be going with that. once again, thanks for the advice!
