Upgrading my graphics card

Post by Booker DeWitt »

Alright so too start it off i have an integrated shitty ass little AMD Radeon HD 7560D. I can barely play games at low-medium settings.
So i want to upgrade, i checked my PCIe ports and i have a x16 free.
I can afford anything around the $250 range, speaking of which this one specifically looks well http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814127696

Regardless, any thoughts? Recommendations?

Good GPU, but it is not benchmarked as high as a 7870 (which is a cheaper card).

Should suffice you with higher settings. Good luck :3

I would say buy a 760, but you need 2 6-pins. So I would save up for a new psu. I just bought these for my bday. I am now running every game I play on ultra.

Ive checked out the 7870 but most of the reviews are saying it gets over 75C and considering my tower is backed up against a wall that'd only exacerbate it. Id rather not have a black screen every time i boot up.

I'd honestly go with the 660TI, Nvidia tends to put out better drivers despite AMD's cards having equivalent/better hardware, they perform around the same and will more often have bugs/issues than nvidia's GPUs.

edit: The MSI 760 you linked is out of stock hipster brah.

edit: This one looks pretty chill, though it has a lot less reviews on it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814121767
