The echo you are hearing is possibly the mic picking up ambient noises more than it should be.
You can turn down the boost, or get a new headset.
Echoes can also be created if you are using the headset only as a mic, but your speakers for sound (derp). if this is the case, just use the headset properly, plugged into the mic and audio jacks.
Logitech makes crap headsets, btw.

Yeah, I've used logitech, they are cheap, and their longevity refects that. invest in a $30-$50 headset that will last a year at least, and move on.
