Welcome to the Dodgeball Suggestions Thread! Post any bugs, concerns, or suggestions here. I will update the first and second posts relatively frequently.

Respawn Timer
Reduce the respawn timer to allow for more playtime. Almond's post


Rocket Trail On Pumpkins
Pumpkins need their rocket trails fixed.


Juggernaut
Some regulars have requested that the Juggernaut plugin be added.

That when voted "!vj" turns one player against the whole team. With extra health. (Depending on the amount of people on the server. It's the same as Freak fortress


Rocket Suggestions
C/P from Jasmine's thread. Her opinions are listed in the (parentheses).
Spoiler: show
Nyan Cat Rocket:
-Rainbow trail
-On death causes surrounding players to watch an animation of Nyan Cat move across their screen
(this rocket would be amazing imo)

Magic Rocket:
-On hit swap positions with person who last airblasted
-Spawn rocket deaths move you to spawner
-Rocket with Speelbound unusual effect above it
(I personally feel that this will be hard to come through good with)

Gravity Rocket:
-On death surrounding players get extreme low gravity for a certain time
-Miniature gravity simulator model (same model that is used on the side of the map tfdb_gravity)
(This sounds good imo.)

Neutral Rocket:
-Can attack anyone (incuding yourself)
-Rocket trail should be a new color i.e. Purple
(Seems a little unneccessary since we have ffa)

Drugs rocket:
-Floating marijuana symbol
-On hit does not kill but toggles druggs for a certain time
-Or if it needs to kill then toggle drugs on surrounding players
(Sounds like fun!)

Moo Rocket: (We now have a frog why not a moo?)
-Just like frog rocket
-But with Moos (Cows)
(Maybe unneccessary, but funny!)

Drunk Rocket:
-Changing color trail
-At random intervals changes target
(Maybe hard to get through with in a good way?)

Pony Rocket:
-Forces player hit to turn into a pony
-Must listen to MLP Themesong until round end
-Rainbow Dash Wings attached to rocket model
(I crave this so badly!!)

Relentless Rocket:
-On hit rocket will kill, stay active, and maintain speed until it has been satisfied
-Should either have a set number of kills before explosion or get a random number each time
-Does not target other team unless airblasted i.e. it will keep killing red team until they airblast it
(Seems a bit complicated)

Speed Rocket:
-Starts off at the normal speed
-Everytime it gets reflected it gains x2/x3 speed of the regular rocket (instead of gaining 10 mph when reflected, gains 20-30).
-Should announce when it's coming a rocket before.
(This would also be great since a lot of players are used to higherspeed rockets)

[Insert Rocket Name]
-Turns you into a player on the opposite team for that round

Another suggestion would be to add these rockets as a option.
Since we discussed the problem with the total % of the rockets.
It could be implemented with "Votenuke" or similar. So that when this is voted the higher chance of special rockets come in. And when not voted it stays normal (normal rocket, frog and nuke)


Most Kills Per-Map Rankings
A ranking system for those who have the highest score(s) in that map.

A small client script that will fix the rocket sound is typing this into console whenever it happens (don't know if anyone knows about it so I figured I would throw it out there):

record a;stop;snd_restart;hud_reloadscheme

Since you probably don't want to type it in each time you should bind it. For example, mine looks like:

bind kp_pgup "record a;stop;snd_restart;hud_reloadscheme"

Only issue with this is that it will freeze your game for a few seconds, so don't do it in the middle of battle, and that it's only a client thing and you need to do it each time the sound repeats.

You only need to type snd_restart. I've done it plenty of times and I haven't had to use all the other commands listed.

The stutter/freeze is what is really annoying. Every time a rocket explodes, you have to run it. A fix on the server side would be the most optimal.

Yeah the snd_restart is all you need for the sound, but I just posted this because it can fix any graphical glitches too, I thought it would be helpful. I don't know if a server wide fix is possible though seeing as it's a tf2 issue, but maybe.

A couple months ago, Jew figured out the issue and tested it on a test server of his. It's been awhile though - I hope he remembers what to do.

Add a minor thing: No rocket trail on pumpkins (Really a pain on dark maps)
Also, trailing player miscs has been fixed
AND one last minor thing, the implementation of /kson would be grand. It's been added to PH so I see no reason for it to not be added here.
