Suggestion - VSH Round Outcome

Post by Spreilly »

So from what I've seen, when the last two RED players are alive, they sometimes avoid the Hale until the timer runs out, especially if they are scouts. I believe that having the round end in stalemates when the timer runs out promotes this. My suggestion is to change the timer so that when the round ends, Hale wins.

An alternate to this suggestion could be class-based perks (similar to what you'd find on /haleclass). So, for example, if it's Hale VS. Scouts (only scouts left, 2 or 1), then Hale wins when the timer runs out. If it's Hale vs. Engineer, then the Red team wins when the timer runs out. A mixed team (ie the last two are a scout and a soldier) then it would still end in a stalemate. And if it's Hale vs. classes other than Scout or Engineer, it ends in a stalemate.

I see alot of potential in this, however scripting could be alot of trouble because there would be multiple if-then attributes, and if it is say a scout and engineer those statements would be conflicted with my experience of multistring variable statements
This is goodbye.

Some maps do not have a cap point (as it might be in an inaccessible area), like delfino airstrip.

At first I looked at your suggestion on generally making hale win, which.. Wanted me to say no, as I felt like Hale already wins in most cases. However, looking at the alternate, I do feel something for this. Aside from my concern that this isn't possible, I like the idea.

I see where you are going with this, Cause the scouts are annoying. Also Some scouts will wait it out for the timer to run out, and just keep dodging hale.

Also from what I know, capping is against the rules in VSH.

It's allowed if the other team is delaying.
That also counts Engineers.
