Normally I would have put this in Hardware and Advice, but this is a problem that occurs only when I connect to Disc-FF servers, and I'm not the only one who has this issue.
This shit is beyond irritating and I have to reconnect to the server every time I connect, and sometimes I even lose my spot in the server because of it.
Fire pls fix

Re: Failed to reply to a query
I believe it's this convar causing the problem: smac_validate_auth (0 to fix)
It basically means you have 10 seconds for you to validate with the server after connecting.

Re: Failed to reply to a query
This has been happening for the last few months and I thought it was a client side issue, but it kept happening and it happens to a lot of my friends too.Mitch wrote:I believe it's this convar causing the problem: smac_validate_auth (0 to fix)

Re: Failed to reply to a query
It sometimes happens to me, I just restart my game and it doesn't happen anymore for usually a few days.
This is goodbye.

Re: Failed to reply to a query
Legit a problem with your TF2.
either just retry your connection or restart TF2.
I find it's due to a slow connection speed bump when connecting to a new map, or downloading new assets from a map/server.
Tell your internet to gitgud, or check your client.

I'll try removing the cvar for now.
Re: Failed to reply to a query
This is already set to 0 on all servers.Mitch wrote:I believe it's this convar causing the problem: smac_validate_auth (0 to fix)

Re: Failed to reply to a query
I've found the issue and it is SMAC causing it. I will have Mitch look at it later to see whats happening.
Re: Failed to reply to a query
I made a change let me know if this issue still occurs.
