I know, I know. I am not admin on DeathRun anymore. But still, if I join and an admin is in... I would like to see the things going as it should. Today, I just saw the whole oppisite of that.

Rule which should have been enforced: 2. You do not delay the game. (Causing delay will result in a slay.) This includes delaying with doing taunts (like engi beer taunt).

Situation #3:
Rule which should have been enforced: 5. You do not trade over voice chat. That is interupting the game and is not fun to listen to. Just keep your trade in the normal chat. Asking about trading is still included, asking to trade someone not.
I'm sorry I did not record this either I forgot to write down the name, but someone said: "Would you sell that taunt, [playername]?" and I was waiting to see the rule above being enforced. This wasn't happening. After all I asked if he heared it, he said he was simply not paying attention.
Situation #4:
Rule which should have been enforced: 3. Spamming is not allowed, it could be via typechat, voicechat AND spamming taunts.

I want to add that he has been a regular while I and Martijn were admin, so he could spectate us meanwhile we were doing our job how to deal with problems. Though, I honestly believe that he hasn't learned anything, while I was out.

On the subject of the dispute itself, I'm on the fence about this. While the evidence you've presented is valid to an extent, I have enough reason myself to believe that Mr is attempting to do his job, and for the most part he is doing it well. While he is a tad crude with his language at times, I've witnessed him moderating to a sufficient degree in the short time I've been an admin and the longer time I've been a member of the community.

Re: Admin dispute DeathRun
Hello old friend, I gotta say some things about youre dispute.
First of, when you retired as an admin on the deathrun server, I got sad, because i liked you.
Then, yesterday, months later, you joined the server, I was so happy to see you that I maybe got a bit too excited. And that's why you made the dispute?
I agree that you saw the oppisite of that, but that was just that day.SURE [NL] wrote:I know, I know. I am not admin on DeathRun anymore. But still, if I join and an admin is in... I would like to see the things going as it should. Today, I just saw the whole oppisite of that.

Re: Admin dispute DeathRun
Issuing gags/mutes does not always require a warning beforehand. His delaying only lasts for a round, if not a few, not an action that he's done for an extended period of time. There is no need to be so picky on an admin. These are all trivial mistakes. MrSmiley is fine as he is.

Re: Admin dispute DeathRun
Yes, because if I see 4 situations in like 35 minutes being not handeled in the proper way, I am getting scared. But you are saying this was a one-time thing, right? (With ", but that was just that day.") I'll be in touch in that case.MrSmiley wrote:I agree that you saw the oppisite of that, but that was just that day.SURE [NL] wrote:I know, I know. I don't see the link toward the carried away and not enforcing the rules, while I am obviously saying it is against the rules. The only link I can see is that you got carried away with not minding that he is delaying.MrSmiley wrote:When I just joined the server, I got so happy and excited that you were on the server. As I mentioned, trying to push him not to delay.. After all he still stood there for a couple minutes.
You said: "You got it wrong", then you say "I was not paying attention". That is what I mentioned, right?MrSmiley wrote:You got it wrong, I didn't hear it because i was doing something else for my brother, so I couldn't pay attention to the game then.SURE [NL] wrote:Situation #3:

In reply to that: Sure, you may be distracted, but try to keep it short, because if Martijn is in, he tries to stay alert on all kind of things. So if he is going into a conversation he is either going in spectate or he disconnects for a while, to make sure they understand he is not there for a second.
Sure, people make mistakes, but not 3-4 in 35 minutes. I couldn't stand it any longer seeing how this went. More likely, I wouldn't stand to see you one day missing and ignoring all the rulebreakers...MrSmiley wrote:You maybe got me there! As stated: I would like to see things going as it was going before. Martijn and me (only 2 admins at that point) always gave a warning. At least one, over mic if it was in chat either a warning in chat if it was in mic.SpicyCandy wrote:Issuing gags/mutes does not always require a warning beforehand.
Let me explain what really happened...SpicyCandy wrote:His delaying only lasts for a round, if not a few, not an action that he's done for an extended period of time. There is no need to be so picky on an admin. These are all trivial mistakes. MrSmiley is fine as he is.
Round 1. I saw it, and called MrSmiley.
Round 2. Gave 2 warnings. Smiley should confirmed it TWICE.
Round 3. Last round of the map: That last link in situation #1: "Is using delay.exe"...
So in fact, it was even 3 rounds, where no actions were been taken.
