Easy. Make creases in your lips and you can say MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM for 7 seconds.

Yeah but the point is that you can't make a solid, full "MMMMMMMMMMMM" vocalization without fully closing your mouth. if you leave a gap it comes out more like "eehhhhMMMHHMMMHMMMMMMHMMMMMHMMMHMMMHMMMHHHMMMHMHMMHM". closing off your nose just removes exit path for your air to flow out and you'll end up quickly filling your mouth with air to the point that you have to release your nose or open your mouth.
