Getting a new gaming keyboard and mouse...need advice!
Hello,
I am getting an new gaming keyboard and I need some advice on what I should get.
Things I'm specifically looking for:
Mechanical
Back-lit Capability
Under $150
Highest quality and durability
Wired
Things I could care less about:
Whether or not it has a number pad
Whether or not it has macro keys
Extra mic in ports
Extra USB ports
For the mouse:
something that fits comfortably
can go up to pretty high DPI
high quality and is durable
Thanks!

This is the keyboard I have.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6823828011
It meets all of your criteria, and then some. However the problem is it is only going to be on sale for the rest of the night (at the moment). It does go on sale quite often though, so if you keep your eyes on it, it should go back down rather soon.

Keyboard:
Razor deathstalker chroma. Yes, it's not mechanical, but it's backlit, Full RGB lighting with effects, and it has anti ghosting by like 10 keys. It also has a feature where you can disable the windows key during gaming so it dosnt kick you out of your game by mistake.
Last time I checked at was around $80 or $90.
I'm using the death adder chroma for the mouse and it's good. It's around $50.

I use the Logitech g300s. Great mouse and cheap too.
This is goodbye.

I use a Corsair Scimitar for my mouse. Its a high ranking MMO/MOBA gaming mouse and goes up to 12K DPI. Nice color customs too.

I use a Zowie Gear FK2. It has a setting on the back that can let you go up to 3200 DPI, and it's also ambidextrous, so if you happen to play left handed there are buttons on the other side to work with you. I don't really think you have to worry about the ambidextrous thing, it's just a nice bonus. It's $60 on Amazon atm

The keyboard I'm using atm is the Logitech G105. It's not mechanical, though it is back-lit, wired, pretty durable(I've had it for about 2 years now) and on Amazon at the time of me making this it's on sale for $35. It's a pretty simple keyboard in itself if you decide to look at it.

Re: Getting a new gaming keyboard and mouse...need advice!
Keyboard Recommendations:
Corsair K70
Logitech G610
Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S/L(small or large, aka TKL or fullsize)
Ducky Shine 4/5(if you can find it)
Do figure out what switch you like. The most common are Cherry MX Reds(linear, light), Browns(tactile, slightly heavier), and Blues(tactile + clicky, even slightly heavier). There are plenty of information on Cherry MX switches, so do some googling.
I would stay away from the current versions of the Razer Blackwidow since they've switched from German Cherry MX switches to cheaper chinese manufacturing since the Cherry MX patents expired. Razer still charges a premium for what is arguably a much cheaper quality keyboard. I also generally wouldn't pay a premium for any non-mechanical boards - they simply aren't worth the price tag.
-------------------------
Mouse Recommendations:
Logitech G403 (both wired and wireless versions are good)
Logitech G Pro
Nixeus Revel
Logitech G502 (HEAVY, not recommended for FPS)
Logitech G900
Logitech G102 (may have to import this)
Razer Deathadder Chroma or Elite (elite has no onboard memory iirc)
Remember to prioritize your hand grip and mouse shape when purchasing a mouse!
The current top sensor available to the public right now is the Pixart PMW3360/3366. Everything but the Razer Deathadders and the G102 have that sensor. It's considered a flawless sensor with accurate tracking, ability to track on light colored surfaces(which the previous PMW3310 lacked), and zero acceleration.
G403 and G Pro are pretty much the same spec'd mouse, but are different shapes. See if you like a fingertip grip(G Pro) or more of a palm grip(G403). I have the G403 in both wired and wireless flavors and both are great. Wireless technology in the G403 and G900 are as good as wired mice.
Nixeus Revel is pretty much a Steelseries Sensei shape, which a lot of people like, but has the PMW3360 sensor in it. Currently does not have any software, but it's in development. Can be easily found on newegg for $30 when it goes on sale. I have also used this mouse before and I was crazy accurate with it. Side buttons were a little bit towards the back for my preference, though.
G502 is the first mouse to come out with the 3366 sensor, but it's super heavy even without the weights installed. It's a good mouse otherwise besides the weight.
G900 is a rather long mouse. Wireless only. Very nice build, but very expensive as a result.
G102 is intended for the asian market. It's $30-$40 imported and has a surprisingly good sensor inside. Think of it as a budget G Pro, but to be honest the only thing you might lack is getting warranty service for this mouse.
Deathadder Chroma uses the 3398, which is a great sensor. The new Elite uses a tweaked PMW3360 I believe. However, the Elite removes onboard memory so you pretty much have to have synapse running in the background all the time for your bindings to work.

Eh, I would put the Blackwidow Chroma pretty far down the list when it comes to highest quality and durability. The switches have a lot of wobble for a mechanical and have an extremely high chance of developing a double click.
G502 is solid.
