Rule/MOTD Suggestions/Revisions

Ok, so there's some rules that I personally don't think are necessary and some rules that we should have.
All the ones that are in green are ones that i changed.
The ones in red are ones that I think should be removed.
And I put some reasons in why, in yellow, on some of them.
Some I tried to make more simple.
I KNOW IT'S A LOT OF READING SO IF YOU JUST WANT TO SEE THE REVISED MOTD, SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM.
Edit: Sorry if my color coding looks stupid and hard to understand.
Edit#2: I felt that the kitchen rule should never have been added. The players just shouldn't be delaying the round by camping and what not.

CT Rules

1. No Free Killing [Killing a T for no reason]
2. No Camping [Anywhere except Kitchen unless it is a war day (For CTs this still excludes armory and vents)]
3. You may not command a T to not use their mic unless they are talking over a commanding CT
4. You may not be in an area which Ts have been commanded to go [Doing so allows T's to knife you (even to death). Baiting is prohibited]
5. Cells must be opened and commands must be given by 7:15 [Not opening cells results in a freeday]
6. AFKers/people still in their cells after 7:15 (unless commanded to stay) may be killed unless they have asked for a repeat of orders
7. If a T makes it to a location, but does not follow commands given to get there, they may not be killed [This does not include jumping from Point A to Point B style commands]
8. For Simon/Evil Simon says you must say "We are playing Simon/Evil Simon says" then appoint someone to be Simon [To end the game you must say "Simon/Evil Simon says we are not playing Simon/Evil Simon says"]
9. Gun Planting will get you banned
10. You must have a clear mic and speak english to be on CT
11. Commanding a T to crouch-walk is banned [This means telling people to crouch+walk at the same time, not separately]
12. Fish in a barrel type games are banned
13. You must first warn a T to drop their gun before you can shoot them [You may shoot without warning if the T has a primary weapon unholstered]
14. If a T is in LR you may not kill the T unless they lose their LR game or if is a War Day [Once the T is in LR you may kill the T if they are delaying or attack someone for no reason]
15. If the Warden dies it becomes a Freeday [However, if there are 3 or more CTs alive another CT may take over as Warden]
16. No Detours or Delays is implied in all CT commands [CTs no longer have to say "No detours or delays" after every command]
17. You may not have two Warday rounds in a row [You must wait atleast one round]
18. CTs must use the command !ctvote when playing games based on opinion
19. The Warden is the only one allowed to kill Ts [Exceptions: If a T is rebelling or if Warden tell you to kill someone]
20. Do not confuse people by issuing orders with names that sound the same [Examples: Salmon says instead of Simon or all CTs jump instead of all Ts jump]
21. The Warden may not call Last CT unless there is a T rebelling
22. No Wardays in Infirmary
23. If you are not Warden do not pretend to be Warden over the mic or in chat [This rule is for players on T and CT]
24. The Warden is the player who has the [Warden] tag in front of their name [If the Warden is AFK/doesn't have a mic someone else on CT may take over as Warden until they die]
25. RED = DEAD [This rule doesn't apply on LRs] opinion
26. CTs may not team kill [You may do nothing that will ultimately result in your teammate being killed, unless they agree]
27. Delaying the round will get you CT banned [Do not make players wait for more than a minute between orders]
28. You may give no command that requires the round to be halted for more than 30 seconds
29. After 6:00 you may look around regardless of any commands previously given [This rule doesn't count for games that require you to face a certain direction]
30. Before you start a Warday you must make sure all CT are in the assigned area or atleast give them 20 seconds to get there [Not doing so is considered team killing and will get you CT banned]
31. If there are only 2 CTs at the start of a round the first to give orders is the Warden
32. You may change the name of Ts once per round, you can revert back to Ts if you want [Example: All Ts are now Bananas]
33. You may only play Last Reaction if more than half of the Ts are alive (rounded up) [You may not play this game if there are less than 5 living Ts]
34. You may not give out Freedays [Freedays only occur with the Freeday vote mod or on ratio, cells closed, warden dead and first round Freedays]
35. If it's obvious the majority of players don't understand a rule/command you may not kill them [You must fully explain yourself in this situation]

T Rules

1. The first round of every map is a First Round Freeday
2. If the number of CTs are greater than or equal to the number of Ts then it becomes a Ratio Freeday
3. Follow commands given by CT's
4. Do not talking over/interrupting a CT on mic
5. Do not bitch on mic about your death [If you're unsure why you died ask in chat]
6. Do not pretend to not understand a command if you do
7. You must ask permission to go get health [If you go without asking you may be killed]
8. Hurting or killing a CT is rebelling [Unless a CT comes close enough to knife without moving, or is in a area that T's where ordered to go]
9. Do not follow a CT if they were in your knifing range or if they leave a Ts area [Once they are out of range or leave your area damaging them is considered a rebel]
10. Do not spam buttons
11. Armory is off limits [Going inside is considered a rebel (unless playing War)]
13. You may not rebel when in LR [Doing so will get you slayed next round]
14. If cells are not open by 7:15 or the Warden dies resulting in a Freeday all CTs must stay in kitchen(Pool if no kitchen) [If a T crosses into kitchen or is seen with a gun unholstered they can be shot]
15. Freedays become Wardays and Wardays expand to every where when the timer hits 3:00 or if one CT is alive [If it's a Freeday CTs must let Ts go into armory and get a gun]
16. Landing the final blow resulting in a Ts death is considered rebelling [This rule is to prevent abuse of !rape and !hit]
17. The recommended spray size is 256x256 [All other sizes will give you a disadvantage in spray contests]
18. If you have a red beam through your spray it means you have clipped [Even if your spray appears not to have clipped]
19. You may not LR during a Warday [Doing so will get you slayed]
20. Shooting at a CT or blocking their path to Kitchen during a Freeday is considered rebelling [CTs may shoot rebellers while they make their way towards Kitchen without detour or delay]
21. Leaving your cell before 7:15 is considered rebelling unless commanded to do so
22. You may not Bunny Hop during a race [This goes for CTs as well during LR]
23. During a Freeday you can't be Freekilled [First round, ratio, warden dead, cells close and panda Freedays are excluded from this rule]
CT Rules

This is just common sense, people usually don't go where the T's are going, and if they do it's sometimes obvious that they're just trying to gunplant, resulting in a CT Ban

6. AFKers/people still in their cells (unless commanded to stay) may be killed unless they have asked for a repeat of orders
I just basically took off the time limit because people complain way to much about this, and some people purposely wait till 7:15 to ask for their repeat, so why not just make it simple and kill the people in their cells still if they didn't ask for a repeat. There would be less arguments over this and new players won't be frazzled over killing an afk. However, the CT's need to be paying attention to the chat more.
7. If a T makes it to a location, but does not follow commands given to get there, they may not be killed
8. For Simon/Evil Simon says you must say "We are playing Simon/Evil Simon says" then appoint someone to be Simon [To end the game you must say "Simon/Evil Simon says we are not playing Simon/Evil Simon says"]

Why not? This only becomes a problem when people use it to delay rounds, other than that i don't think it's a problem
12. Fish in a barrel type games are banned
13. You must first warn a T to drop their secondary or holstered primary[You may shoot without warning if they have an unholstered primary, unless they are dropping it]
14. If a T is in LR you may not kill the T unless they lose their LR game or if is a War Day [Once the T is in LR you may kill the T if they are delaying or attack someone for no reason]

Some people that are warden choose to be a dick and say "I didn't tell you that you could kill did I?" so I reversed it and made it so the warden has to actually say it before it takes into effect.

21. The Warden may not call Last CT unless there is a T rebelling
This rule isn't needed, it's only important to keep the last T for LR alive.

This rule isn't needed, it's either they can be commanded to face the entire round, or not be able to the entire round. I put something in for this in the general rules.

People usually don't may attention to the "half" part of the old rule, and it's hard to tell when people join and leave the game, so just decided with 5 because that's what everyone is used to stopping at.
34. You may not give out Freedays [Freedays only occur with the Freeday vote mod or on ratio, cells closed, warden dead and first round Freedays]
35. If it's obvious the majority of players don't understand a rule/command you may not kill them [You must fully explain yourself in this situation]
I don't really know why this rule needed to be added because it usually never happens, and if it does, people learn from their mistakes. People usually don't come up with incredibly complicated orders that it somehow confuses the whole T team.


T Rules

Alright, now that I've changed the things up there, i'll give you a suggestion on what our general rules should look like.

In Game General Rules(Rules for both teams):
1. For Last Request, you may not kill the person you are in LR with, unless you have beaten them in the LR. Doing so is a freekill or rebelling in LR. A T may not LR on a warday. [Do not delay while in LR]

Game Info:
1. Last/First Reaction [Basically depending on if the command is First or Last Reaction the First or Last player to follow the command dies. You may only play Last Reaction if more than 5 T's alive.]
2. Simon/Evil Simon Says [The CT playing Simon must say Simon say before a command. If a T follows a command and Simon says was not said (or the real Simon didn't give the command) you die. This is the same for Evil Simon with the exception that the last T to do the command dies. If Simon dies or if there is one T alive Simon says ends.]
I changed the part where the warden can appoint anyone to be simon, this way they are the only ones that can be warden
For Simon/Evil Simon says the Warden must say "We are playing Simon/Evil Simon says" to become Simon [To end the game you must say "Simon/Evil Simon says we are not playing Simon/Evil Simon says"]
3. War Day [CT's must gather in one location after letting T's out of their cells. Once a Warday has begun CTs may not shoot if they are not in their assigned zone (boundaries start at door entrances). You can expand a Warday to everywhere only if you mention the time before the Warday beings (you can't expand Warday before 5:30)]
4. It becomes a freeday when the Warden dies or if the cells are not opened by 7:15.
5. During a ratio freeday, first day freeday, warden dead freeday, the T's and CT's may go wherever they want[Camping or Delaying the round will get you slayed]

Baiting [If a CT is in an area in which the T's area or in their path when commanded to go to an area, they can be knifed by the T's. Ex. The T's are ordered to go to the bottom of cell stairs and freeze. If a CT is within a T's knifing distance, they can knife them. Ex2. The T's are ordered to go to the top right side of VIP cells and freeze. If a CT is on the top right side of VIP cells, then the T's can knife them. Baiting excuses orders that involve facing a direction or freezing.]

The T's face away from each other and when the Warden specifies a time or when they say a word, then the T's point their flashlight at another T. The T with the most flashlights pointed at them dies. If it is a 3-way tie then nothing happens.]

Modded Freeday Rules:
1. No Camping/Delaying Round
2. CT's cannot shoot the T's immediately after they leave their cells.
3. Freekilling does not occur on any Modded Freedays except on Panda Freedays [Rules Below]

My last suggestion is removing race LR. There are way too many issues with it, i feel that removing it would reduce arguments over it.

Overall, I minimized the rules so that they are easier to understand and memorize. I may have forgotten(not sure if I did) some of the rules the I put "In general rules".

and i agree to removing the race lr or make it so that you cannot cancel it once it's chosen

As I read this post...I can see ALOT of players finding "loopholes" in the rules, once again...like before we changed the rules we have now.

If there are loopholes, please point them out, because most of the rules i just moved around or revised.

And I'd like to point out that these "loopholes" are created by the people who just decide to make the game like hell for other players. As it is, I believe that our current playerbase can handle these changes. Putting less restrictions on the players, as I've done with the rule about having to go to kitchen on freedays, will make it feel like they're actually having fun and not restricting their freedom within the game.

I just don't feel that our current MOTD is updated. Also, if i missed a rule or forgot to explain some situations then tell me what it is, so i can fix it.

I'm not expecting everyone to agree with this MOTD, but hopefully some people will agree with the points I'm making or even come up with better suggestions.

And there's a little problem with the Freeday mod. If you join after the round starts and you get spawned in, the effects do not get applied to you. For example, if you join late on a hidden freeday, you are not invisible and you're able to pick up guns. Same goes for all the other freedays on the mod.

Edit: added something to CT rules about them not being able to tell all the T's to drop their guns and nades, they must ask a T personally, by name.

I just basically took off the time limit because people complain way to much about this, and some people purposely wait till 7:15 to ask for their repeat, so why not just make it simple and kill the people in their cells still if they didn't ask for a repeat. Why not? This only becomes a problem when people use it to delay rounds, other than that i don't think it's a problem
Why not just make "crouch-walk" = crouch? Like freeze = afk freeze. It's what most people mean anyway.


21. The Warden may not call Last CT unless there is a T rebelling
This rule isn't needed, it's only important to keep the last T for LR alive.
Isn't the point to give orders? If no one is rebelling, why stop the flow?

22. No Wardays in Infirmary
Add Armory, since you removed it from the other rule.




29. After 6:00 you may look around regardless of any commands previously given [This rule doesn't count for games that require you to face a certain direction]
This rule isn't needed, it's either they can be commanded to face the entire round, or not be able to the entire round. I put something in for this in the general rules.
30. Before you start a Warday you must make sure to give the CT's at least 15 seconds to get there [Not doing so is considered team killing and will get you CT banned]
Why the change to 15 seconds? For people without bhop, 20 seconds is often barely enough to get across the map.

33. You may only play Last Reaction if more than 5 T's alive.
People usually don't may attention to the "half" part of the old rule, and it's hard to tell when people join and leave the game, so just decided with 5 because that's what everyone is used to stopping at.
This game is so overplayed. Even with the new rule of at least half or at least 5. I say, bump it up one farther and make it that you cannot play if there are 6 or less Ts remaining. This way, when the server is full and the teams are split 6-12, you stop at half. If the teams are imbalanced (4-14) then it gives the CTs advantage to take more out.

35. If it's obvious the majority of players don't understand a rule/command you may not kill them [You must fully explain yourself in this situation]
I don't really know why this rule needed to be added because it usually never happens, and if it does, people learn from their mistakes. People usually don't come up with incredibly complicated orders that it somehow confuses the whole T team.

It said "If it's a freeday..." on the part inside the brackets so i changed it to Warday
A couple unwritten rules that we have:
- Warday cannot expand before 5:30 (Does this include 'last ct'? Should it?)
- You must call when warday expands before warday starts - otherwise it's 3:00/Last CT

CT Rules:

I'll fix something up for the camping thing. Edit: 2. No Camping Anywhere [Unless it's a warday(If you are camping to delay ANY round, you will be slayed)]
I just made it so you can camp on wardays then, but if you're camping and delaying the round at all, you will be slayed.

I changed the "to not use their mic" because I just put in T rules that they can't talk over a CT giving orders. The "to not use their mic" meant that the warden could say "talk over warden you die", but it's implied now in T rules.

Can keep giving mass commands of crouch-walk banned, doesn't really matter if it's changed or not.

Can keep the Warden not being able to call last ct unless there's a T rebelling. Besides, never really happens very often.

Added "No Wardays in Infirmary, Armory, or Vents"

Can keep it to 20 seconds.

Changed it to your 6 or less T's to play Last Reaction.

Keeping rule 35.

T Rules:

The warday rules are already in the Game Info section. Except for the part about calling when warday expands before the warday starts.

Edit: Added all the changes above in the revised MOTD, didn't change anything on the color coded part.
