DISC-FF

So my mic is pretty much garbage now.
Every so often, it will disconnect and then reconnect itself instantly. This isn't the issue that I'm having a problem with.
Whenever my mic gets disconnected, I have to restart TF2 completely in order for my mic to work again.
I have unplugged and plugged it back in. I have changed Playback/Recording devices and then changed back.

Not sure if there is even a fix for this besides getting a new mic, but I thought I'd ask anyways.
So is there a way to get my mic to work again in-game without having to restart TF2?

I use Voicemeeter for my mic to make it sound better, but it also has the benefit that the input for voicemeeter is always active so if you unplug your mic (or stops working) you can just relaunch voicemeeter and it will start working ingame again.

Probably not the right solution, but, does your Mic need any up-to-date software to work right? Might want to check for some sort of software that it needs, if any
