Issues with x10 admins

Post by NerfPlayeR135 »

According to some of the regulars on x10, such as Ronald McJackson and Somebadcandy, the x10 admins (especially eDrago) haven't been enforcing the rules on the server, ignoring harassment, spawncamping, disrespect, racism, etc. This has created a lot of confusion regarding the rules and has led to claims that the rules no longer exist on x10.

If what the regulars say is true, that the x10 server is currently lawless, I will not stand for it. As many people know, I am a stickler for the rules, and I always respect the authority of my superiors, yet I also speak out if I believe something has gone awry. This is one of those moments where something may have gone wrong, and I will see to it that all potential wrongs are made right again.

I'd like to receive the x10 admins' opinion on this matter, and I'd also like to suggest an investigation be launched regarding this issue.

I’m a former X10 admin.

Historically, the X10 and and Randomizer servers have not experienced the amount of toxic players as other servers have before. Because of this many admins don’t believe their constant presence is required on that server.

If someone is breaking rules after other players politely ask them to stop, then use the !report feature. Our global admins are very good at answering reports on servers.

To continue on Drewski's point, if nobody responds to the /report command (the slash prevents it from popping up in the chat for others to see), make an official report on the forums, in the Reports/Ban Disputes section, using the format given for making a report and gathering enough evidence (and potential witnesses) to post with it.

Best ways to acquire evidence usually varies from punishment to punishment and admin to admin. The most appreciated is using third party recordings software, as it's accessable by any and all at any given moment. If the punishment is a spray (or in some cases, even, map exploitation), screenshots are more than acceptable and equally accessable.

If all else fails, you could always just record in-game demos. Don't be surprised if it takes a bit to get a response, however; those can only be viewed through TF2 directly and are a slog to sit through.

As Insert Dongle would say: "Reports are always appreciated."

If you are still awaiting an answer Nerf, the best I can give is this:

The x10 admins have been told by Fire to be less strict on the rules, and only enforce certain things. Harassment. racism, spawncamping, among other rules are no longer enforced.

Literal porn sprays, hacking, and ear rape on the mic (this one is more of a case-to-case basis, it depends on how bad it is) are still enforced, but that's really it for the rules. If you have any questions feel free to ask any of the x10 admins of what the rules are, and sending out a report never hurts either.

Hopefully, this is a good enough answer that clears everything up.
