Sharkling Ban Appeal

Admin who gave Punishment: Tornado
Punishment: Ban
Server: TF2 Dodgeball

Punishment Length: Permanent

Reason: Aimbot

I was playing last night and a few players who were using their mics were saying that when they were spectating me, "my mouse was flicking across the screen" and that "I was hitting the rocket only at a specific distance away from me". And it wasn't like I was the winner of every single round. Plus I literally just started playing your guy's dodgeball server about a week ago

The punishment I was given should be removed because I did not use Aimbot

Thankyou

Sharkling,

I am the player who reported you. After witnessing suspicious behavior during the time span of multiple maps I decided spectate you and record a demo. After personally viewing both demos recorded, I felt it was appropriate to report you.

However, as I have been away from DB for a lengthy time until quite recently I did not feel comfortable with my ability to spot. So instead of posting a public report, I linked all the details directly to both Tornado and Moneykidking. Tornado took administrative action on your account following viewing my provided demos, of which I recorded two.

Here is the original forum report which I decided against posting publicly until now. You will find links to both recorded demos, as well as an uploaded LQ video clip from one demo. Everything is in the appropriate format as per the forum report guidelines.

Server on which the rulebreaking occured: Disc TFDB

Clip from one of the demos uploaded to youtube. (1:42-1:50 displays erratic rubberband effect after successful airblast)

Critical notes: Server suffering from somewhat regular lag spikes. Player was somewhat successfully strafe chasing the rocket, but not orbiting. Player's crosshair would suffer an intense rubberband effect AFTER successful airblasts, but rocket was not flicked/waved in the slightest.

Xyn, I honestly love the disc-ff servers and I have no intentions to want to cheat.
I have nothing to do with the lag, all I heard is that it was lag spiking because of the server resetting (or something like that)
I do not know what you mean by strafe chasing or my cursor rubberbanding but there's nothing I can really say about it, that's just honestly what happened when I played the game. And when I look at the video, it does look weird at times, but there's nothing that I know that could explain it.
But look, it really frustrates me that I have no real defense over what you say, but if there's ANY way to prove I am not a cheater, PLEASE ask me.

Sharkling, I have no involvement with your particular case or your appeal process beyond being the originator of the report. As stated in the guideline to appeal post, you can add the admin that took action on your account though it may or may not help.

Hey, I looked at the demos about 30 more times, And i even got a few friends to look at them, too see what they think. And with there help i made the best judgement on this, I do not believe you were hacking, I am very sorry I will removed the ban.

Thanks for appealing.

Also, becareful the way you play, cause other community would ban you and not even give it a 2nd thought, I will be see ya on the servers.
