Favorite Video Production/Editing Software

I'm currently taking a video production class at my collage and will be taking a few more next semester. We use Avid Media Composer on iMacs but for me being a windows guy ever since I could walk (I knew how to operate a computer before I could fully talk). I couldn't use a IMac for complex tasks to save my life. Also Avid is pretty difficult for me because I like editing the timeline and Avid will let you do that but it's hard as hell. So I got Premire Pro downloaded on my PC and I love it! It's so much easier because the layout is better and easier to understand in my opinion.

If any of you guys have experience editing video, what software do you prefer and why?

I don't actually use any video production of editing software, just that Windows Movie Maker came to mind.

Seriously though, the three I would probably use on an apple system would be Premier, Final Cut Pro, or Sony Vegas.
